Dieting is a word that most hate to hear. There is something that every person wishes they could change about their appearance, and usually weight is one of the most picked choice. A few years ago I had decided I was tired of being fat. I didn’t have the energy I would of like to, and I wanted to be able to shop and buy clothes that didn’t resemble table cloths. I had researched several different diet plans including low-carb, low-fat, low-calorie, liquid, and anything that was the latest diet fad. I decided to use some of each diet plan, and customize one I thought I could live with. I have PCOS and it makes dieting even harder. ( See my article about Living with PCOS).
The cure for acne depends upon the type of acne, whether it is internal or external. Internal factors that lead to acne such as thyroid gland problems, sebum excess problems, and hormonal problems are treated with pills such as contraceptives or other antibiotics. However, omega 3’s are oils, and any oil can go rancid after we’ve eaten it! We must ingest anti-oxidants to keep this oil healthy after ingestion. Stay close to your family: Don’t ever forget where you came from. Your family will be there when no one else will, as long as you nurture them. Most centenarians lived with or close to their family, where they experience daily love and connection. Sadly, the life expectancy living alone was not quite as rosy.
The results surprised everybody, including the scientists! The group that ate only fat lost 0.9 lbs. a day, the group that ate protein lost 0.6 lbs. a day, and the group that ate only starch actually gained 0.3 lbs. a day!! So in other words, starch is the worst possible thing you can eat if your wanting to lose weight!
October is Celiac Disease awareness month. Use this opportunity to educate those around you about Celiac Disease and the gluten-free fasting mimicking. Offer samples of gluten-free foods that you enjoy to friends & family. Bake cookies and bring them to work or school. Get the word out that Celiac Disease is not a rare disease, as was once thought. It is common, occurring in roughly 1 out of 133 people; 97% of those people are undiagnosed.
Cells can rejuvenate. Just think of the sense of accomplishment! Do it! The second thing is alcohol. A glass of red wine with dinner is OK. Anything more is not. And spirits are absolutely verboten. I know. I know. It’s really hard but the payoff is spectacular. Now for the good foods!
Calorie shifting is, by far, the easiest and most scientific way to lose weight. You are not required to engage in any kind of vigorous exercises; neither will you lose those delicious foods. Only thing you require is foods from different groups and to calculate and vary the amount of calorie you are taking.
